City University of Hong Kong Teaching Farm Circular Program

What KIWI did?

KIWI strongly supports ‘local production’ and ‘Hong Kong brands.’

We collaborate with Yuen Long 448 Farm to provide high-quality locally grown forage for the teaching farm at City University of Hong Kong, used to feed Guernsey cows. Additionally, Odd Farmer regularly collects organic waste such as cow dung produced by the teaching farm and converts it into fertilizer and energy for our own farm

We hope that this ‘circular’ concept not only reduces waste but also helps the teaching farm provide a variety of locally produced dairy products for Hong Kong residents.

In the future......

KIWI plans to follow the model of the City University teaching farm to develop livestock farming in Pak Hok Chau and establish an animal hospital to provide a venue for veterinary training.
