Locally Made Fishmeal Project

Hong Kong Brand, Freshly Made Daily

Make Good Use of Resources

As a local fishmeal producer, KIWI’s projects also yield additional catches such as tilapia and red drum. These fish have lower market value and are less commonly consumed directly.

KIWI‘s fishmeal is produced from the breeding of fish fry to full-grown fish, focusing on the preservation of marine environments and biological resources. This approach ensures stable product pricing, consistent supply, and a zero-carbon footprint.

Nutrient-Rich

After processes such as degreasing, dehydration, and grinding, Farmer John transforms various types of fish into fishmeal semi-finished products. These are then mixed with home-produced microalgae powder in specific ratios. The resulting fishmeal is rich in protein, carotenoids, various minerals, and over forty vitamins. It is especially suitable for feeding poultry, livestock, and fish/shrimp, and can also be used as fertilizer. The New Field Eco-Park produces high-quality fishmeal that is 100% made in Hong Kong, from raw materials to finished product, every day.

The microalgae cultivation system at New Field Eco-Park produces microalgae rich in protein and vitamin B. This makes it an emerging nutritional supplement.

Mission and Factory Conditions

KIWI ensures that its operations adhere to our recognized social and environmental responsibility standards. Through comprehensive internal controls and process management, Farmer John aims for sustainable development of its fishmeal. This involves reducing carbon emissions while providing stable, high-quality fishmeal for local aquaculture in Hong Kong.

Fishmeal is rich in digestible proteins and amino acids, as well as vitamins and minerals, making it one of the best ingredients for animal feed. High-quality feed produced with fishmeal is suitable for feeding premium aquaculture species and poultry.

Fishmeal is produced from various types of local fish and is not suitable for direct human consumption. After being harvested from the fish ponds at New Field Eco-Park, the fish are immediately processed on-site. They are steamed, pressed, dried, and ground into fine powder, achieving nearly zero carbon footprint. Every 100 kilograms of raw material can produce approximately 30 kilograms of fishmeal and 3 kilograms of fish oil.

The city’s charm is in its adept use of technology and intelligence.

The traceability of fishmeal, from producer to end user, is closely linked to quality assurance and sustainability. Our commitment to customers is based on our comprehensive understanding of every step in fishmeal production. From breeding to production, sampling, shipping, and delivery, we have established a complete internal management control system to ensure product quality.
